Steve’s Olympus Stylus 5010 14 MP Digital Camera Review 10 August, 2011

Hello there,

May I just say this is my first post in relation to camera reviews. Let me just start by saying I have tested all of these cameras myself. These are merely my own personal opinion.

I won’t waste any more time the product I am reviewing is the Olympus Stylus 5010 14 MP Digital Camera with 5x Wide Angle Dual Image Stabilized Zoom and 2.7-inch LCD (Titanium)
You can get this camera used for as little as $73.12. I purchased it new for €110, on first inspection the camera looked great, I was happy with the overall look and feel of it.

I was worried that for such a cheap price and at 14mp it would be shoddy or cheap. Much to my surprise not only did it feel great, by great I mean it didn’t feel cheap(you know what I mean). The picture quality is excellent, at 14 mps you can really capture some great shots.

My other main concern before purchasing was if it was that it might not be user friendly. I really hate camera’s that just don’t work straight away. Sounds ridiculous but I want to just be able to point and shoot. With this camera I literally took it out the box and was able to take some great shots straight away!

For any girls out there it is available in a lovely pink. My girlfriend actually purchased this exact camera in Pink right after me and she is most impressed by the Olympus stylus 5010.

Another great tool is the panoramic shot, for those who don’t know you can literally hold  down the shutter button and take great scenic shots. It takes lots of shots and combines them into one great panoramic shot!

Other points HD video not to bad, could be a little bit better.

All in all if you are looking for a camera that is going to be cheap, take great shots and is extremely user-friendly  this one is for you!
